(January 18, 2022) – GRAMMY nominated, multi-platinum rap superstar & “The King of Drip” Gunna has today achieved another huge career milestone with his long-awaited album DS4EVER reaching #1 on the Billboard 200, and generating over 150,300 equivalent album units. This marks Gunna’s second #1 Billboard 200 debut, his last album WUNNA sold 113,000 equivalent album units and took the top spot following its release in 2020, and his label Young Stoner Life Records’ fifth consecutive #1.
Released on January 7th, DS4EVER is the fourth and final installment of Gunna’s legendary “Drip Season” album series. The 19-track album boasts superstar collaborations with Future, Young Thug, Chloe Bailey, Kodak Black, Chris Brown, Drake, G Herbo, and has already garnered critical acclaim from Complex, Vulture, Billboard, and more.
Gunna has worked hard this week for this coup, by not only releasing an incredible body of work, but also driving a cultural moment, creating the viral concept of “pushing 🅿️”. Gunna has proved himself to be one of the most influential artists in the game, making his music synonymous with his lifestyle as “🅿️” takes over the internet airwaves. Bringing his peers into the fold, the song and music video for “pushin P” off of the album is a prime example where Gunna, Future, and Young Thug lyrically and visually define what it means to be “🅿️”.
Of the monumental success, Young Stoner Life Records Founder & CEO Young Thug says “Gunna going #1 that’s 🅿️. Now YSL has the world pushin 🅿️, all the way to the top”.
300 Entertainment & Elektra Music Group Chairman & CEO Kevin Liles said “While I am grateful for this moment in time, I am proudest of the movement that Gunna has created with DS4ever. The whole world is 🅿️ushin 🅿️. His work ethic and artistry is what has rendered this success and his growth as an artist. Gunna, his manager Ebonie, Young Stoner Life, and 300 Entertainment are true partners. We are committed to Artist Development and share an unwavering faith that together we are here to build a business, not just put out records. ”
Since the release of the album, Gunna has dropped the official music video for “livin wild”, directed by Spike Jordan and featuring cameos from BMF’s Lil Meech and Keith Sweat. In addition to “livin wild” to the release of the Omar Jones directed music video for the “too easy (Remix)” alongside Future and Roddy Ricch has accumulated over 3.5 million views on Youtube with over 90 Million global streams to date.
This past week, Gunna performed a live rendition of DS4EVER in collaboration with musical ensemble 1500 or Nothing during two sold-out shows at Irving Plaza in NYC and Masquerade Heaven in Atlanta.

ABOUT GUNNA: When the history books open up, “Drip” will forever be associated with the meteoric and platinum rise of Gunna. Dubbed “The King of Drip” and pegged “to take over the rap world” by Interview, he generated over one billion cumulative streams and achieved one platinum and two gold certifications within a year. In 2019, he submerged the whole game in “Drip” on his full-length debut, Drip or Drown 2 [Young Stoner Life Records/300 Entertainment], and singles “One Call” and “Speed It Up.”
Born and raised in College Park, GA, he immediately gravitated towards innovative hip-hop from the likes of OutKast, Cam’Ron, and Future. Signed to YSL Records, he famously teamed up with label boss Young Thug and Travis Scott on “Floyd Mayweather” from 2016’s Jeffery. Shortly after, he dropped the seminal mixtape Drip Season. 2017 saw him serve up the sequel Drip Season 2 and Drip or Drown. He ascended to superstardom during 2018. Drip Season 3 put up unbelievable numbers, earned Drake’s fandom, and garnered looks from Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue, Complex, and more. Not to mention, he joined forces with frequent collaborator Lil Baby for the collaborative Drip Harder, which bowed at #4 on the Billboard Top 200. The project yielded the platinum Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit “Drip Too Hard” and gold “Never Recover” [with Drake]. He collaborated with Travis Scott and NAV for the ASTROWORLD favorite “Yosemite,” Mariah Carey for “Stay Long Love You,” and Metro Boomin for “Space Cadet,” which they performed on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Plus, he participated in fashion shows for Pyer Moss, Off-White, and Yohji Yamamoto.
