CHICAGO – July 10, 2019 – ComplexCon, the world’s largest gathering of pop culture visionaries and impact makers, is adding more of today’s profound voices and provocateurs in the hip-hop and sports community for the first-ever ComplexCon Chicago taking place July 20th and 21st at McCormick Place. Joining the ‘Pigeons & Planes Stage’ and ‘Hot Ones Live’ lineup is hip-hop superstar and Chicago Native, Juice WRLD. In addition, there will be a dynamic roster of speakers and entertainers including T.I., Wale, Killer Mike, David Banner, Paul Rivera, Steve Stoute, Don C., Karl-Anthony Towns, Dreezy, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, G Eazy, Gunna, and NBA legend Allen Iverson.

One of the most anticipated engagements of the weekend is ‘Complex Current presented by NBA 2K20’ which will gather today’s leading celebrities, artists and influencers for insightful cultural conversations. The “How NBA 2K20 Is Cultivating What’s Next in Culture” panel will feature Paul Rivera, Steve Stoute, Don C, Karl-Anthony Towns, and spotlight how NBA 2K20 continues to push the culture forward and remain at the forefront of sports, fashion, and music.

Additional ‘Complex Current’ conversations expected during ComplexCon weekend include:

  • Mama, We (Self) Made It – A candid conversation about what it really takes to be an independent creative. From fashion to music, how do you DIY in this age of saturation?

  • Who’s More Influential for Sneaker Brands? – Today’s biggest names in sneakers debate who they think hold more influence in 2019 when it comes to footwear endorsements. Is it celebrities, musicians, or athletes?

  • Take Over The Block – It’s more important than ever to invest in the future of our communities by building local businesses. Inspired by the inspirational work that Nipsey Hussle contributed to his community in L.A., panelists will share personal insights into how we can set our neighborhoods up for future success by improving local business infrastructure.

  • Superstars in Superstars: The History of Sneakers in Hip-Hop – Since its inception, hip-hop has made sneakers part of the lifestyle. From the Adidas Superstar to the Nike Air Yeezy, we explore sneaker culture through hip-hop and the personalities who rocked them.

General Admission tickets are currently available at ComplexCon.com, which include access to the marketplace, concerts and panel conversations. General Admission tickets are $80 per day for Saturday or Sunday or two-day General Admission tickets can be purchased for $135 (plus fees).
