Cardi B Doll Will No Longer Be Released Due to Production Delays and COVID-Related Issues
As well as things have been going for Hip-Hop Diamond girl Cardi B, one thing won’t ruin the successful year she has been having!
According to TMZ, due to production delays and COVID-related issues, a limited edition Cardi B doll that started taking pre-orders in March will no longer be an item for people to purchase. The doll, which was a joint venture between Cardi B and Real Women Are, started being promoted back in March when the Diamond rapper announced it on her Instagram page.
The doll was $35 and started taking pre-orders in March but, according to the website, The Cardi B Limited Edition drop had ended and was supposed to have the dolls shipped to customers in October. When customers didn’t get any orders in October, some went to the Instagram account of The Real Women Are and started complaining and asking about their dolls. Many were requesting refunds as well and thinking that the sale was a scam.
Now, a rep for Cardi B has stated that the dolls will not be released due to COVID-related manufacturing and shipping delays. They also said that the former Love & Hip-Hop star had her own concerns as it related to not meeting the high-quality standards she expected it to be.
